About
Our M.A. Programme in Women, Gender & Sexuality Studies is an interdisciplinary postgraduate course at the College of Interdisciplinary Studies, Thammasat University. Our programme has been established since 2000, first as the Women Studies Programme, and then, since 2013 as the Women, Gender & Sexuality Studies Programme (WGSSP).

The WGSSP is committed to produce highly qualified graduates with a solid theoretical foundation in women, gender and sexuality studies as well as research and analytical skills to understand intersectional perspectives on equality and social justice.

Our program strives to become a platform connecting the academic with social activism in both local and international engagements.
Program Structure
The WGSSP offers a two-year taught master’s degree:
one year of coursework and one year of thesis writing.
Core subjects include

Introduction to Women, Gender & Sexuality Studies;

Development of Feminist Concepts & Theories;

Research Methodologies, and Pre-thesis Seminar.
Elective subjects can be chosen from four interrelated modules; Literature, Arts & Media; Gender, Development, & Cross–Borders Perspectives; Gender, Politics & Laws; and Women’s & Queer Movements.
